A good signed ubu shinto wakizashi blade mounted in a beautiful early kyu-gunto (russo-mounts) blade jidai (era) early-edo period 17th century / ca. 1650 kyu-gunto mounts, jidai (era) circa 1890's blade in full polish, veyr clean & healthy.

Signed on both side bushu ju shimohara hiroshigeother side shin gugo mai kobuse tsukuru = traditionally folded 15 times the signature is guaranty genuine & authentic (no gimei! ).

Cutting edge 17-3/4 & very sharp! Tang ubu 1 hole, 5-3/4 total blade length 23-1/2blade thickness @ habaki notch 6.8 mmwidth @ habaki 1-1/8+width @ yokote level 3/4+kissaki / point 1-1/4sori / curve 1/2 hamon / temper well controlled sugu-notare on both side & there is boshi on both sidehada / grain itame mix with good activitie's blade condition in full polish, very clean & healthy with, no chip, no nick, no blister, no crack/hagire, no bend, all in all a beautiful & healthy very clean blade in a beautiful early kyu-gunto mounts, ready to go! Nothing to do on the blade & mounts just to enjoy. Blade rest in full & beautiful original early kyu-gunto mounts mounts ca. 1890's full mounts are all original to the blade, all fit perfect nice & tightthe d-guard handle is perfectoriginal perfect & intact clean same/skinoriginal all intact & perfect wireoriginal steel-metal scbabard (mix with few minor-dent) the whole mounts are generally clean solid & in excellent / good condition, showing some normal wear from age with a nice patina.
