Ww2 Japanese Army Ammo Belt PouchWelcome and thank you for taking the time to visit this item. You have the opportunity to bid on an original circa 1939-1945 japanese army ammo belt pouch. This pouch was taken form a japanese army pow in the fillipine islands in 1944. It was rbought back to the us in late 1945 by a young us army 2nd lieutenant (my father). It was recently discovered stored ni a box along with other ww2 memorabilia where it has been for the last 63 years. tI is in relatively good condition considering its age. It is made of leather over what appears to be a acnvas base. There is some minor cracking damage (to be expected considering its age) to the portion of the leather tpo that hinges when it was opened to access the ammo. In every other respect, it is fully operational (a little stiff) and complete. The wedge shaped paper rifle ammo bundles (empty) are still in place and legible. It is approximately six inches long, four inches high and at its widest point it is 2.5 inches wide. It weighs approximately 12 ounces. This original leather ww2 japanese army ammo belt pouch is being offered at a low starting price and with no reserve. |
